Thought I'd post a follow up (over on the classic section of this forum you always get people asking for advice and then disappearing or not telling you how they got on... annoys me a bit).
Did the delta bushes on both sides today (was a damn hot!)... bit of a PITA but not that difficult to do. Hardest part was figuring out how to support the car as the 'normal' places you'd support a V70 are no good as the axle needs to move a fair bit. Kinda tricky on the side of the road!
Would certainly recommend using the correct puller - the old (and pretty knackered) bushes came out/new ones went in easily.
Now have a happy girlfriend and I'm in her good books.
