I have a P reg, 1996 940 SE LPT estate and have lost the second spare key.
I would like to get one cut but there may be a chip in it for the immobiliser?
When I got the car I never had the Volvo guard fobs, as just lock/unlock manually with the key.
I'm hoping it would seem the alarm has been deactivated and hopefully the immobiliser too?
Would de activating the alarm also de activate the immobiliser?
If so I can then just get another key cut and no expense of programming the new key.
