My plan is to mount mine (probably going to be a pair of air horns) so they're behind the bumper crash bar area, that way they won't impede air flow to the radiator/air-con condenser etc any more than the bumper already does yet will still be protected from the majority of the elements but be close enough to the "outside world" to really penetrate with their output.
