I've not got any further with more fault finding other than the VIDA compression test in the injector test section unfortunately. I wouldn't be capable in fault finding buzzing wiring thought with multimeters and would book in to a competent garage for this if required. Whether the piece that entered the filler neck is now causing this issue i really don't know but I need to see it this is the case in the tank and pump assembly.
