After this it would not start so I double checked everything and all seemed good apart from the small pulley/wheel behind the crankshaft pulley that lines up with the position sensor. It seems there is a magnetic strip that I have damaged the edge when removing this small pulley but I am still not sure this is causing the car not to start. A replacement part has now been modified so you have to buy a new crank pulley and sensor ring that sits behind this at £250 ! No luck with breakers yet but wondered if anyone has knowledge of this or can these magnetic strips be repaired ?

Many thanks, Damon
These are delicate devices and it does warn you and say in the replacement procedure not even to touch the surface of them .
