5w40.
Its a Renault engine, renault spec 5w40 A3/B4 (10w40 if 5w40 not available).
I think the book has a typo or youve misinterpreted it, of course you can use 5w40 above 10°c, all 3 oils are 40 when hot, so just the same at operating temp.
The difference comes when cold, 5w is the best of all 3 for cold starts, 15w would be inappropriate unless vehicle is used in the sahara.
