I know about the original way.
A ziptie makes it worse
It will deform the tube from circular to an form like a drop with a "cone" or "triangle"
Zipties are strong beloved from the factory at later cars, to mount the wiring.
Never ever someone should use them to safe a tube for fuel.
I agree: nothing or a proper clamps
