Avcent - no, its not the one I remember in Stratford as that wasn't a late-bumper injection car(and was grey!).
Congrats on saving the car - doesn't look too bad but there are lots of blotches or unsanded filler in strategic places, so a bit of research needed to confirm nothing is hidden. Speaking from experience my greatest fear, given your pics, is the area below the windscreen. I had similar on a former show car I bought, so had a dig.... ended up with a hole right through some 8" long by 2" wide. Cure - windscreen out and a lot of fabrication/welding. This is a serious weak area on these cars due bi-metallic corrosion between the steel body and the windscreen fixing clips.
Don't be too disheartened with fears expressed by others on here - its a 45-year old car, show me a similar age Escort like I had, which simply fell apart. Treat it as a rolling resto but enjoy it: I did about 100 miles in my injection car yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I can relate lots of other problems encountered on my cars, but that's beyond the theme of this thread.
