To be perfectly honest I haven't got a clue when it come to electronics I just followed the directions, with great success, given in the first post by 960KG.
As for the cassette, i removed all the tape from the spools, it did eject first time. I just pressed the tape button again and it now displays "TAPE B" but plays fine.
