I used to have a 163bhp P2 XC70 D5 & towed my track toy on a twin wheeled trailer loads of places/miles. Total weight was probably around the same as your caravan (bit naughty on a 163) but I found that it was actually a very smooth and controlled ride. Only time it felt a bit out of sorts was when I misjudged the location of the loaded car and it was a bit squirrelly but moving the car a bit on the trailer and it was fine again. I don't think you'd go wrong on a balanced P3 with 205bhp
