I recall reading about 8 or so suffix numbers used by the manufacturer/programmer.
About 3 seasons ago someone warned about sophisticated diagnostic equipment being confused by a DIM having a "non-matching" or otherwise nonconforming number.
If you're near anybody with a VIDA it could make for an interesting experiment.
It would be good to know. Kira
I did match a few series of numbers on the DIM. The only issue was the odometer reading. My original went from 169,563 to 63. The newer unit was at 149,000 in which VIDA now recognizes. A view readings did warn of a non matching DIM as well as other non conforming issues. A couple of reset values and rereads and the errors eventually dropped off.
