Default ABS warning light

Hi folk.

Had ABS and anti skid warning light. Computer says wheel speed sensor.
Popped a new one in and no look.

On this website another post previously suggested a wheel bearing.
Changed this today and whilst disassembled cleaned the wheel speed ring gear and it easily came off the drive shaft, on closer inspection it was cracked completely open and subsequently expanded a couple of mm therefore rubbing against the wheel speed sensor and resulting in unequal readings hence the light.
Lightly welded back together and die grinded the appropriate shape.
All back together and hey presto

On a side note, no need to break open the lower ball joint to extract the drive shaft to get to the wheel bearing bolts. Undo the 2 strut bolts and pull forwards.
