BestGear,

You're right, the build quality on these cars is solid.

However, when I released the offside part of the bumper (the upper bit that's colour coded) it was then clear that my dealer had previously struggled when replacing a failed sensor a few years back.

They had used some kind of epoxy resin stuff to fix the clips in. Aagh!

I may have to repeat their 'trick' when refitting the bumper to get a flush finish. If you have any suggestions as to the type of 'stuff' they might have used then I would be grateful. Otherwise, it'll be a trip & chat to the boys at Car Parts 4 U in Galashiels next weekend!
