Has anyone had experience with a Magic 3 reducer leaking from around the black seal close to the top? This link has a picture for reference:

I have an issue at the moment where if I floor it, the AFR goes rich to the point of misfiring and when backing off the throttle it takes time to recover. My experience of this in the past has been when the reducer is not getting up to operating temperature and the gas is going in as a liquid. The first thing I checked was coolant level, which was ok. Then I noticed a residue around the black seal on the magic 3. I'm wondering if a leak here could cause similar symptoms?
