There are inner and outer TRE's on our cars, I've had to replace both on separate occasions.
The 'inner' ones are at the steering rack end and require a strange spanner/socket to tighten them if I remember rightly (a garage did them) and the 'outer' ones are at the wheel hub end and these are the ones that a tracking shop will loosen off and turn on the threaded part to adjust the track.
The inner ones have a weird 'ball' at the end with slots to accept a large spanner. I would think the inner ones are longer, the outer ones are probably 120mm - ish long?
