Apologies, I read it that the car hadn't been running at all.
I'm amazed the ECU wasn't an issue, result.
Although the wiring may seem the same it may still be the case that the ECU isn't recognising it.
Do you have Dice/vida ? If not you could do with getting the codes read.
Oh and congratulations on the job you've done, no easy thing.
