It is a cop out , They are the "experts" who else can do it better? It may be that they farm them out which is not good because the proper volvo method and materials are more likely not used and if the sub contractor breaks it they won't pay .. it is up to the dealer to claim it off the sub contractor not you . I cant see your insurance paying out to replace a glass which they broke !

There are volvo glass primers , clips and special bonding glue which has to be heated up in an oven to 80 C to comply with volvos original factory safety standards . It would be worth asking if they do this in house or farm it out and if so are the proper processes carried out .

If it is any consolation i've seen quite a few done and none broken .
