I would imagine that your tyres, like mine, are Michelin Pilot Sports - mine are the 215/45 17s you have to have on the 850R.

When changing from the dealer-supplied Kumhos, the Pilots were much quieter and gave a better ride.

They also have provided excellent wet and dry grip under fairly enthusiastic conditions including a track day (albeit with a ##### driver - me - behind the wheel!)

The only problem is cost - Pilots are seriously costly - but then as far as I'm concerned, it's cheaper to get grippy tyres than explain to an insurer why it was someone else's fault that you shot off the road on a wet corner...
