The "BRATT" My dad had one in 1991. It was great off road. Had a 1600cc engine and went anywhere. He blew the engine up eventually and fitted a 1800cc engine. It was painted hammerite blue!!

We had a MK1 Subaru 1600 estate. Scrapped as builders burnt out clutch.
also a MK2 1800 estate. Hi-low ratio. RUH127Y.
Dad also had a Subaru L series.
Years later a Subaru XT.
The MK1 and Pickup were the best off road. The MK2 suffered from mud ingress into driveshafts and we needed 3 in the 3 years living up a mile long track when my Grandparents bought a cottage with no services in Herefordshire.
I have seen none since. Popular at the time with vets and farmers so generally abused and scrapped.
