Yes that was my interpretation of that piece too.

When i next have chance i'm going to have a really good look at whats going on up in my wings.
Whether i have some pattern wings that didn't have pressings, or this area has been repaired before with flat steel not ribbed (like Mitch's). The other side has the same plate, so I will be prepping and welding, so once everything fully clean I'll post some better pics.
