Sunroofs (or Moonroofs as Volvo comically used to call them) were always a cost option as far as I'm aware.
In terms of software update, only a dealer or someone with a VIDA subscription would really be able to tell you by VIN I guess. Volvo's software updates are as shrouded in mystery and cloud as Apple!
