Avcent - our replies crossed! Excellent re pics, looking forward to seeing them. However, I doubt you'd need a magnet as rust in the important places is easy to see and difficult to hide. Back of sills where it meets rear wheel arches is a favourite for blisters and worse. Have a look at the spare wheel troughs (as you would if looking at a 240 again......), and where the front panel meets the front wings. If you can, open the boot and see if you can see through the bottom each side (!).
By what you say, the rest sounds pretty good but do an MoT history check in case the floor has been patched. However, from current experience, paint is now becoming as expensive as critical welding nowadays, so it must shine to attract buyers!
