I was having a look round for write off Nissan leaf or Renault Zoe but those are rare and still a little expensive. Give it 5 years where the number of all electric cars will greatly increase and I'm sure there will be a tipping pint where it all makes sense. Down side is I'd need a much bigger battery than either of those cars if I was to do a trip to lemons in it, unless taking a couple of extra days to get there for charging.

There is a lot more room under a 340 than most cars as it was designed to take the bulky CVT Units , you could put a lot of battery just forward of the rear axle under the floor , then you still have the big engine bay to fill
