Is it common that the insurance is different in the UK, if you add Polestar? In Sweden it makes no difference at all. And Polestar is the only optimization they can see, as all other such things are illegal, and thus can't be registered.
From what I've heard the D4 (D5244T12, 181 hp/420 Nm), which is in our XC70 D4 AWD 2016, is mechanically identical to the D5 (D5244T15, 230 hp/470 Nm) in my XC70 D5 AWD 2012. The difference is the software, in this case even more so, since the D5 has been updated with the Polestar software.
The last version of the five-cylinder D5, D5244T20, delivered 220 hp and 440 Nm in it's stock configuration.
