Default Looks like scrap values have risen recently... T4 for sale

Our family car, a 2001 Volvo T4 manual that's not going to be re-mot'd by me, too much work needing, and when I'd previously checked scrap values on 3rd Nov I was quoted £180-£185 on the internet but today the same sites have quoted £200 - £230.

Interesting in case anyone else is thinking of scrapping a car in the near future.

BTW, anyone interested in a running and reliable V40 T4 S manual with a leather interior that won't pass it's next MOT without work?

Can list what I know are big/small issues later but includes:

* 1 u/s headlight
* full exhaust
* reset airbag light on, needs checking and resetting
* has dent on drivers door (from car park) which dented sill below & pushed door top out slightly too (pics on here somewhere)
* c/l playing up (the usual problem)
* weak handbrake
* paint faded on rear of bonnet
* came with general marks to bodywork

Note- there are no error codes on the CEL, just the airbag one on the dash

There's a few other bits (eg bulb out in dash) that I'll add below later if anyone's interested.

Can get pics, etc, it's a bit dirty at the mo so could do sometime.

Before anyone suggests getting the work done, wife's health means it's now a good time to change to an auto

Just asking in case as it'd be better all round if the T4 models or at the least their engines, are kept going for the future.

Some more info:
* 4 former keepers, then me since Oct last year
* mileage just passed 156k
* Leather interior
* Arcadia wheels
* Cruise control
* Manual gearbox
* Recent new rear discs & pads
* Clutch good
