This. We can't be sure which pulley has an issue and past 110k miles, all pulleys on the alternator clutch (see how to test on youtube), tensioner and a/c compressor have wear on them and may need attention. Very easy to spin them by hand and find out how much wear on each, once the belt is removed.

As for the caps over the alternator and tensioner pulleys, no worry if missing. The tensioner cap is even tricky to undo often times - what I do is just grabbing a long bar, put it against the cap, and tap at the other end gently with a hammer: the cap pops out right away.

There have been discussions on whether to replace the alternator pulley or the alternator altogether with a Bosch unit. Sure thing, don't let a garage install their cheap parts in there, you will be changing them 6-12mths later again. The a/c compressor pulley may need a new bearing, again go with a quality brand (look up youtube)
