But isan't this plywood sheet being used to make a replacement load bay platform that will be secured in the same way as the existing one? Does the material from which the replacement floor is made have a direct bearing on the safety of the car? how safe does that make the existing floor? I'm interested in this because I loath the skinny spare which I was forced to buy to replace the can of gunk which was the only Volvo concession to tyre punctures!
