Nothing more done to 264.
Too bloody cold. (Carport)

Would like some recommendations on springs and dampers.
Did look at air...... Like the idea but looks like £3k mark.

Quick question.....does the 264 have timing belts or chain? Service schedule?

Thanks chaps.
It's not the best weather for al fresco spannering!

It's a timing chain on the PRV V6 so no timing belts to worry about. The engines before ~1986 are prone to timing chain and cam wear though, not sure if there is a specified service interval but would suggest using ~0.5L of synthetic ATF as part of the new oil each time you do an oil/filter change to keep everything clean, free sticky piston rings, valves etc and to keep the oilways to the camshafts clear.
My particular favourite is Carlube ATF-U and i know it works for this, also very good in the auto box and PAS system and can also be used as Jack Oil in hydraulic jacks or engine hoists if your heart desires!

As for lowering springs, these should fit yours :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fits-Volv...t/293090572965

Kilen are another subsidiary (like Suplex) of Lesjofors who were OE suppliers to Volvo so they'll be good quality. Should lower it about 35mm according to the listing but the ebay compatibility checker doesn't list the 264 for these but other spring listings list both the 244 and 264 as using the same springs. You shouldn't have any trouble in that respect, according to the listings when i bought the replacement springs for my 760 they weren't on the ebay compatibility checker but fitted the 740 - the 260/240 range uses the same springs across the range in the same way the 740 & 760 use the same springs across the range. Likewise on dampers. If you find them for the 244, they'll fit (or should fit) the 264 as the middle digit denotes the number of cylinders on your age Volvo.
