If the voltage on the battery drops too low, the sensor will remember that even if you did charge your battery. The only way to get rid of this message is to reset it, it needs to be reset every time you change your battery.

Not quite, the "low battery" warning will disappear when battery is recharged over 50-65% state of charge - either by driving, or by proper charging (minus pole to car body). No need to disconnect the BMS sensor.
However if BMS sensor was disconnected, car should be locked for at least 6 hours to let the BMS sensor recalibrate again.
