I have found the battery, it is larger and different to the one mentioned in a previous thread. It is still a 6 volt lithium manganese dioxide and I tested it disconnected and recorded 6.3 volts, so battery seems okay. I am hoping once I reassemble everything and reset in vida that my problem will be solved.
We will see.
