My '16 V60 D4 has been in due to an stutter and poor economy, caused by a stuck EGR value and a blocked EMAP pipe. From the other responses in this thread it sounds quite common for 4 year old D4 engines. The dealership claim it's not common and only the EGR cooler has problems, however volvo have offered a goodwill contribution, but not for all issues.
