My keyless entry failed on three doors recently. Now the warranty states handles are not covered, hence the policy sounds like it would not cover this failure. However as we all know its not the handle, however the electronic trickery behind the scenes. I would argue your issue, to the point that a Volvo technician comes out to your local dealership to access the problem. It might be a loose connector (don't laugh, it could be that easy).
If my fog light ''lamp'' failed i'd understand the refusal. An expensive, extremely delicate and complicated unit such as this should be covered.
The definitions are very grey with these warranties so be prepared to stand your corner.
