Default XC90 2010 model - Engine failure

Ok then

My wife’s XC90 2.4 D5 2010 Model, FSH with 91k miles

We were driving the car today when a noise developed under the bonnet.
To cut a long storey short it looks like the Aux belt had shredded and some of it has gone into the timing belt causing the timing belt to jump a tooth.
Vehicle will now not start _ ? Compression.

Do I repair
Do I seek a new engine
Or do I sell it as is.

Took it for an MOT yesterday and it passed with flying colours

All help appreciated

Thanks
