Hi
I have a GDI and had a lot of trouble about 8 years ago with coking up.
I was warned to go for a thrash now and again as I do tend to drive rather short journeys normally. I admit that I have been lax lately

The car's running a bit lumpy and the tickover tends to surge between 1000-500 rpm. It also tends to stop at junctions etc if I let the revs down. I feel like I am nursing it

Has anybody tried the "chemical clean" flush by companies like terraclean?
I am hoping to at least get it to run a bit better and worst case eliminate a cause
