I was a little concerned when I came across some power tools for sale for £999 when they are normally £100 odd, and it even said they had sold a number of them.

I thought nobody had been that stupid to pay way over the odds, so I messaged the seller asking about the pricing, and they told me in a well written email that ebay have no way of suspending an item when stock has run out, so what they do it bump the price up until back in stock, so you can still watch it.

I had thought this was some scam, but just a way round an omission in ebay's services.
