I'm not sure what exactly I see in the pictures, but it looks like some worn teeth. On just one section of the gear??
Didn't you replace the camshaft this past winter? How did the gears look at that time? I assume you had to take the gears off as part of the camshaft replacement. Was this just something that happened within the last few miles since your rebuild?
