Hi. No it doesn’t always mean the steering wheel sensor is at fault. It can be many things including a low battery voltage. If you can get the codes read, that will give you a clue. However, my problem was a corroded ABS reluctor ring on the front left wheel. Fairly easy and a cheap fix. Worth checking the abs rings and sensors first as they are the cheapest. Oh, also the front hub bolts can loosen too causing problems. Easy to check. Just pop out the centre caps on the wheels and check the tightness of the centre bolt.
