Like the OP I was dismayed to find the airpump and the can of goo and no spare. I've been used to full size alloy matching spare wheels for the last 15 years before buying the Volvo and was most surprised that they don't provide any spare at all. I bought a space saver as the full size wheels won't fit the wheel well which is a classic piece of poor design. The insult to injury was that in order the buy reliable safety equipment, I bought from the local Volvo dealer and paid over £100 for my skimpy wheel. What clinched me buying it was that on the can of goo it tells you that no matter how small the puncture or how repairable it might be, the use of the goo renders the tyre unrepairable and it has to be scrapped! At least I still have the air pump for inflating tyres, footballs and paddling pools. Can't think of a use for the can of goo.
