My 62 544 has a severe rear end whine. I know they may whine a little, this is loader than the radio can play. I change both inside and outside bearings and races. Looking now to maybe replace guts of carrier or is there a rear end from something different that will bolt on. Use to start at about 25mph now it is all the time on acceleration. Does does stop on de-acceleration. I am curious. When I let off the gas suddenly the car sways to the side and if I hit the gas again it sways again. When I reassembled the rear end the center spacer cylinder was crack(see in picture) I also had to spacer the driver axle out to get the passenger bearing to seal. Does anyone have the parts to replace the carrier? or repair in general?
