Hi. Many thanks for your advice. The issue of a faulty coil pack and/or spark plug is a valid point. When I had the problem previously, I did swap these components over to other cylinders but the mis-fire remained with No.5 Cyl and was only cured by replacing the LPG Distributor. However, as the Distributor is only approx. 18 months old, it may well be that the ignition is at fault this time. The car is coming up to it's annual service and I have since spoken to a Volvo dealership and have arranged for the car to be serviced and have the fault investigated by them.
