Agreed. Although I've not rewatched it, it looked as though he just pushes some wire into the hole next to the connected wire and then cable ties it on.
What gauge / colour of splice connector did you use and what gauge of wire?
Also, which colour wire did you attatch the fuse that sits between the resistor and the harness to? And does it matter - i assume it would be to the cable providing the power feed though?
