Hi,
I think your best first step would be to give the car a good proper cleaning with a good car shampoo.
Then get the polish out and give a good through polish/clean and finish off with a waxing.
Once you have done that you will either be pleasantly surprised or will have a better idea of what paintwork may need to be look at.
Don't know any reputable bodyshops in Notts . . . Yet.!!
