Although it has done just short of 240K, it still drives like it would have done 150k ago so I reckon it's worth doing - along with the ignition thingy that stops the abs light coming on when it shouldn't do (no more wiggling) and the replacement of the offside front disc (previous owner rounded the bolt off proving removal impossible - for me anyway)!!
So... Back to the initial question, does anybody know of a decent 'trustworthy' mobile mechanic to sort my motor out within the Birmingham area?

Hi there,
I assume your problem is with the nut closest to the manifold.....A universal joint is a good idea for this....
Im sure there are some good bods in brum willing to help out however as you have got so far maybe a nights sleep and a fresh approach may be a thought.....
