Hi

I don't know anything about V40s.

The V70s have 5 cylinder engines.

I would think the whole engine management system (fuel injection and various sensors) would be so different that it would be impossible.

Why do you want to do that? If your V70 engine is broken, then it would probably be much easier and cheaper to find a used V70 engine.
