The important consideration is that because of Volvo's pincode banditry their dealers are the only ones able to flash through the OBD: with MTE the ECU has to be taken out and addressed on a bench which takes some time and at present can only be done when the man from MTE is over here..... I don't yet have the kit to do it myself.

You might screw a good price out of a local hungry dealer...... MTE's superior calibrations will cost you £595 inc. VAT and a visit to me when I can sort it out.

Best regards, Don.
Hi, thanks for your reply, I did actually contact mte via there website, facebook and email, all several times but never got a reply. Where abouts are you? I thought mte might have been a bit cheaper than that since volvo ones aren't much more (750 I believe). I have read some good things about mte, but a little nervous as I have had problems with a remap in the past. I had a brand new c30 and mapped it, the fly wheel had to be replaced every 12 months after that and my mate had his vectra done at the same time and they ruined that too. I really do not want to ruin this one. I wondered if it was worth doing any upgrades before the map but I don't know much about tuning cars.
