That's the typical fuel sender problem. I fixed mine but the video is not very well done (an old one). Besides cleaning the potentiomenter, I also compressed a little bit the "U" portion of the float metal rod, because when it was sitting on top of the potentiometer it had a little bit of side-play, which may be the reason the gauge was getting stuck. Since this video, the gauge has been very accurate.
