I'd take the plugs out and spin the engine on the starter for a few minutes to get some oil around. Do this for 20 seconds or so at a time, to save overheating the starter motor perhaps? May need to re-charge the battery after this, but plugs back in and give it a go. Make sure that the plug leads are as far away from the plug holes as you can, to ensure a stray spark doesn't ignite the mixture coming out of the plug holes - or better still, disable the fuel pump while doing this.
I've done this on a number of engines that have lain idle for many years, and it's always worked fine for me.
