If your engine warning light has come on i’d Get in touch with the folks you bought the car from pretty damn quick and ask their advice. By all means take it to Volvo for a second opinion or make sure The Honda guys know about this.
Any Volvo dealer can print out the cars history for you, and personally as Nigel says I would get it serviced at Volvo and see what they are prepare to do for you.
