Hi.
I don`t think a undertray would do anything to resolve the issue other than keeping the engine bay cleaner.
From my own experience I think the water is getting into something which is revolving , ie. wheel bearings or driveshaft and then being spun out again further down the road. Best to check the driveshaft gaiters and the water seal on the hub behind the CV joint.
It may be nothing more than close running pads on a wet brake disc.
