Recently having to make a claim through Aviva, I can confirm there is an "additional non-approved repairer" excess of £200. 10 years and almost all policies with Aviva and I didn't read the fine print.
I had to suck it up as I wanted it repaired by Volvo.
Aviva insists on using an outfit called Solus ARC which lo & behold is owned by them.
